JCP Construction was recently featured in the Milwaukee Business Journal discussing the Howard Fuller academy project.
JCP Construction recently completed its first ground-up school construction with the new Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy high school building, the most recent of what has been a strong portfolio of north side Milwaukee projects for the company.
The Milwaukee-construction firm’s other developments include the ThriveOn project and the FPC Live facility.
“It’s a sense of pride to be able to add to the fabric of the area,” JCP president James Phelps Jr. told the Milwaukee Business Journal. “Just to have a part in building those projects, it’s just an honor to be a part of that renaissance of sorts.”
For Phelps, he was “ecstatic” with how the building turned out and sees the future facility being a staple in the community. The building’s completion had even more meaning to Phelps as a person who had connected with Dr. Fuller at a young age.
Phelps recalls his amazement at meeting Dr. Fuller as a kid attending Milwaukee Tech, where Fuller served as superintendent.
“Being part of the team to build a new facility that bears his name, it’s quite the honor,” Phelps said.
