This year marks a milestone for JCP Construction—15 years of building with purpose and giving back to the communities we serve, live, and work in. Over the past decade and a half, we’ve grown from a local construction firm into a trusted partner for projects that not only enhance the landscape of Milwaukee but also uplift the lives of those who call it home.
As part of our celebration, we recently organized a special volunteer initiative at the Historical Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Community Project, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to revitalizing neighborhoods and investing in the future of our city.
Hands-On Learning Meets Community Impact
On November 7th and 8th, JCP partnered with Tony Bachtell’s Union Carpentry Training Institute (CTI) to create a unique hands-on learning opportunity for floorcoverer apprentices. This initiative allowed the apprentices to gain real-world experience while working alongside JCP team members on a meaningful community project.
The focus wasn’t just on construction—it was about making a deeper impact. By contributing to the preservation and revitalization of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive corridor, this project celebrated the neighborhood’s vibrant history and supported the small businesses that thrive within it.
Acknowledging the Power of Collaboration
This effort wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible collaboration of key partners and supporters. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
- Raynetta “Ray” Hill, Executive Director of the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District, for her guidance and vision.
- Tony Bachtell, CTI Instructor, and his apprentices for their dedication and craftsmanship.
- Brandon Neddeff, Pewaukee Training Campus Coordinator, for supporting the development of skilled trade professionals.
- Cetonia Weston-Roy, for her continuous encouragement of this impactful project.
Celebrating the JCP Team
Behind every successful project is a dedicated team, and we’re incredibly proud of the JCP leadership and staff who made this initiative a reality:
- James Phelps, JCP President, for spearheading and championing this effort.
- Mike Snow, General Superintendent, for managing seamless field operations.
- Eddie Brust, Superintendent, for expertly overseeing onsite execution.
- Serina Moreland, Office Coordinator, for ensuring every detail was organized and executed flawlessly.
Building Stronger Communities Together
At JCP Construction, we believe our work goes beyond building structures—we’re helping to shape the future of our community. From revitalizing historic neighborhoods to fostering the next generation of skilled trade professionals, we’re committed to creating a brighter future for Milwaukee.
As we celebrate 15 years of excellence, we look forward to continuing our mission of making a difference, one project at a time. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Together, we’re building stronger communities and brighter tomorrows.
Here’s to 15 years of impact—and many more to come!
